Access Healthnet Inc., a Westlake Village firm that provides information management and communications systems to hospitals, laboratories and nursing homes, has agreed to use Data General Corp. computers and printers in serving its accounts nationwide. As part of the deal, Data General will maintain the hardware.

The arrangement will make it possible to install systems as large as 1,000 units in two to three weeks, Access Chief Executive Keith Berman said. Currently, such work takes the company two to three months, he noted.
