Black-Tie Event to Raise Shelter Funds
Tickets are still available for a black-tie, fund-raising ball hosted by Casa Pacifica, a Camarillo shelter for abused and neglected children.
The Angels’ Ball on Saturday is Casa Pacifica’s biggest fund-raiser of the year, said Tanya Gonzales, a spokeswoman for the shelter. Proceeds from the event help fund the shelter’s $4.5-million annual operating budget, Gonzales said.
There are about 30 tickets remaining for the gala, which is expected to draw about 300 to the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, she said. The ball begins at 7 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner and dancing.
During the evening, organizers will present a “Guardian Angel” award to a community member who has been instrumental in supporting the shelter, Gonzales said. The honoree’s identity will remain secret until the ball, she said.
