Bruins’ Kris Johnson Has Stress Fracture

Share

Doctors have discovered a slight stress fracture in the left fibula of freshman forward Kris Johnson, the school announced Tuesday.

Coach Jim Harrick said Johnson, who has also been suffering from sprains to both ankles, probably will sit out at least a week--including Saturday’s game against Kentucky.

But Harrick said the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Johnson is not believed to be seriously injured. Johnson, who scored four points in the season-opener Saturday against Cal State Northridge, was held out of some of the team’s early drills this fall after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee over the summer.
