Virgin Interactive Entertainment: The Irvine-based video game and entertainment software company said Friday that it has won court approval to acquire most of the assets of a bankrupt Oakland company’s software publishing division. Virgin picked up, for an undisclosed price, three existing CD-ROM games and three titles under development by Media Vision Technology Inc., which is reorganizing its debts under Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy code. Media Vision, which continues to operate under bankruptcy protection, sold its publishing group to focus its financial resources on its core business, multimedia computer hardware.
