Save the Bunker

Will the real Amigos de Bolsa Chica please stand up!
A letter sent to the county by the board of directors of the Amigos de Bolsa Chica (Nov. 23) stated that the Amigos support the plan for demolishing World War II bunker No. 128, which is on the Bolsa Chica mesa.
The bunker last September was declared by the U.S. Department of the Interior to be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historical Places.
The Amigos must be an environmental group that supports the preservation of the Bolsa Chica OR be a Koll ally; they cannot be both.
In our recent City Council election, four Amigos were elected on the promise to protect Bolsa Chica.
The Koll Real Estate Group wants to destroy this historical site to erect 3,300 dwellings on Bolsa Chica.
If the board of directors’ letter is speaking for the Amigos, we the community of Huntington Beach were lied to in the recent election by the elected incoming City Council.
