GARDEN GROVE : Grants Will Finance Education in Arts
- Share via
Teachers in the Garden Grove Unified School District have received almost $8,500 in grants through the Disneyland Fine Arts Partnership Program, a district spokesman said.
Forty-one teachers will share the grants, which help pay for projects and materials designed to involve children in visual and performing arts, said spokesman Alan Trudell.
Teachers will use the grants to pay for field trips to the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, for computer hardware to create animated videos and for professional choreographers for a dance class, Trudell said.
The awards are distributed twice a year. Teachers districtwide won about $8,200 during the last round of grants, Trudell said.
