Share

Four seniors at Westminster High School have been named Commended Students in the 1995 National Merit Scholarship program.

Jennifer Lee, Hung M. Tran, Marc A. Walton and James K. Williams were among 35,000 students across the nation who were honored for academic excellence.

They placed among the top 5% of the more than 1 million high school students who took the 1993 preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship qualifying exam.

However, their test scores were below the level required to be eligible for a Merit Scholarship award in 1995.

Each will receive a commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corp., which conducts the program.
