Teacher Pleads Innocent in Classroom Maiming
A high school teacher pleaded innocent to assault after severing the tip of a student’s finger by slamming a door on it as the student left class.
David Dahle was freed without bail Monday pending a Dec. 14 hearing. The school district assigned the 25-year veteran to administrative work while it investigates.
Peterson Borga, 14, displayed his bandaged middle left finger at a news conference. The finger, severed just below the nail, was surgically reattached but it was too early to know if the operation would be successful.
