Ram President John Shaw met with officials from FANS Inc., the group trying to bring the team to St. Louis, Sunday in the team’s box at Tampa Stadium.

Alan Bornstein, an attorney for Stan Kroenke, who’s trying to buy a minority interest in the Rams, joined Shaw and senior vice president Jay Zygmunt for the Rams’ 24-14 loss to the Buccaneers.

Kroenke, a businessman from Columbia, Mo., reportedly was in Tampa Sunday, but was not seen in the Rams’ box.

Shaw said he “remained optimistic” about striking a deal with the St. Louis group, but added there’s a “zero chance” that such an agreement would be announced before Sunday’s game at Chicago.

St. Louis also is among five cities that have completed the first round of negotiations to buy the Buccaneers, who went up for sale after owner Hugh Culverhouse died in August.
