Waste Management Firm Says SEC Reports Will Be Filed Late

Share

Security Environmental Systems Inc. said Tuesday it does not expect to file its most recent annual and quarterly reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission until early in 1995.

The company also said it will report a “sizable loss” for the fiscal year ended June 30 as well as a loss for the first quarter of its current fiscal year.

In a press release, the Huntington Beach-based company tied the reporting delay to an ongoing review by its independent auditors.

Security Environmental also announced several management changes. Jess Turner was appointed chairman, succeeding Alfred Grossman, who was removed as chairman of the board on Oct. 10. John Wheeler, chief operating officer, was also appointed to the board. Ellen L. Batzel was appointed chief executive officer of the company.

“We are working with our auditors to locate and supply information and documentation,” Batzel said.

Security Environmental, founded in 1972, offers waste management, remediation and transportation services to government and industrial generators of waste.
