Health: Adult Day-Care Center Opens in Hollywood

A new adult day-care center for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairment illnesses has opened on the Westside.

The Adult Day-Care Center, sponsored by the Assistance League of Southern California, a nonprofit philanthropic organization, is located at the Dorothy E. Leavy Family Resources Center in Hollywood.

The new facility will offer hot lunches, snacks, daily activities and individualized care. Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Door-to-door shuttle service for clients is available.
