In these days of complexity, having a single USC sophomore deal in quantum concepts unsupervised and unsupported except by Manhattan moneylenders guarantees entropy. Darwin and his principles were present at the decline of Rome, and he dwells among us still. Serious consideration for current criminal sanctions against (Robert L.) Citron and his “sleeping supervisors” and the appointment of a sophisticated support group to analyze future gymnastics would seem to be in drastic order.

I feel that the Orange County supervisors are just as culpable as anybody in this debacle. The specific question I have is, in all these cutbacks, I haven’t seen where the supervisors are giving up their leased cars. This would be a substantial amount of money, as would the car allowances of the upper management in Orange County.

I’m glad that Robert Citron was forced to resign, and I think that all the supervisors, that all the officials up and down the line who knew of this, should be forced to resign also. All of them, including (Robert L.) Citron, should not be allowed to collect a government or city or state pension in any way. Somebody has to be held accountable for some of these things, and I think it’s very unfair for somebody to be able to lose $1.5 billion dollars of taxpayers’ money and not be accountable for it. And possibly get a pension out of it later on.

I’m an independent real estate appraiser. People are going to leave. If they know their property taxes are going to be raised, they’re going to leave. And a sales tax is not the answer. They need to do a full investigation and expound on who’s responsible for this. A lot of people are angry, very angry.
