John R. Julian has been selected to head ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc.’s new Worldwide Pharmaceutical Marketing Group as vice president. He joined the company from Marion Merrell Dow Inc. where he was vice president of U.S. marketing. Reporting to Julian will be Larry C. Johnson, vice president for strategic pharmaceutical marketing. Johnson was previously vice president of marketing and commercial development at Chiron/Cetus Corp., based in Amsterdam. In addition, David L. Deere has been appointed product group director for antivirals. Deere was formerly head of the International Virology Marketing Group for Hoffman-La Roche A.G. of Basle, Switzerland.
