Datametrics Corp., a Woodland Hills maker of computer printers and plotters for military and commercial markets, reported a $217,000 profit for its fiscal fourth quarter that ended Oct. 30.
A year earlier, Datametrics earned $44,000. The profit in the latest quarter gain came on a 10% decline in sales, to $6.97 million from $7.78 million.
Datametrics’ fiscal 1994 profit, however, plunged to $31,000 from $1.48 million in the prior year. Its annual sales rose 5%, to $25.2 million from $24 million.
The company attributed the profit decline for the year to its investments in developing color printers for commercial markets.
