Coonan Clinical Laboratories Inc.: The private Costa Mesa company said it has agreed to be acquired by ChemTrak Inc., a Sunnyvale manufacturer of disposable health tests, for up to 400,000 newly issued shares of ChemTrak common stock.

Stephen J. Coonan, founder and president, would become a vice president of ChemTrak and president of the Coonan Clinical Laboratories subsidiary. Operations of Coonan Clinical Laboratories, which is developing a home HIV-1 blood collection kit, would be moved to ChemTrak’s Sunnyvale facility.
