Eugene F. Hovanec, vice president and chief financial officer of Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor Corp., has been named to the board of directors of that city’s Interlink Electronics.

Vitesse produces digital gallium arsenide integrated circuits.

Interlink produces pressure-pointing products and other devices used in a broad range of consumer and industrial applications.

Prior to joining Vitesse a year ago, Hovanec was vice president of finance and administration at Digital Sound Corp. in Carpinteria. He managed Digital’s $45-million initial public stock offering.

Before that, he was vice president and controller of Micropolis Corp. in Chatsworth, and held various positions with Arthur Andersen & Co. in New York.

E. Michael Thoben III, Interlink’s chairman and chief executive, said Hovanec’s “depth of experience in strategic financial planning will be of inestimable value to Interlink Electronics as we chart our future path.”

* William N. Jackomis has been named vice president of marketing and sales at G&H; Technology Inc., a Camarillo producer of components and subsystems for military, industrial and commercial use.

He was formerly director of government programs and marketing for AlliedSignal Aerospace. He has also been a program manager in strategic planning and development for General Electric Co.

Jackomis has been involved with the Defense Department and other agencies in negotiations regarding national security issues, including policy formulation by the National Security Council, G&H; said.

In addition to marketing and sales, Jackomis will be responsible for G&H;’s corporate communications.
