4 Injured as Single-Engine Plane Crashes
A single-engine plane experiencing fuel problems was forced to make a crash landing Sunday afternoon in the desert outside Lancaster, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
Four people suffered minor injuries in the 5:10 p.m. crash near 165th Street East and Avenue M. All four were taken to Lancaster Community Hospital for treatment. None were identified.
The Aerocommander plane was flying to Rosamond from Apple Valley when an unspecified fuel problem forced the pilot to land in the desert, officials said. The plane was badly damaged and the FAA is investigating the crash.
