CORONA DEL MAR : Seminar Will Share Ways to Hone Writing

Local author Barbara DeMarco Barrett will host an eight-week seminar starting Jan. 12 teaching the finer points of writing under pressure.

DeMarco Barrett, who has been published locally in Orange Coast and The Coaster magazines and abroad in The Toronto Sun and Korean Air Inflight, will teach “Writing as If Your Life Depended on It” at her home in Corona del Mar.

The workshop, which features exercises to stimulate creativity and organize ideas as well as group critiques of work, will be conducted from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays from Jan. 12 through March 2.

Cost is $125, and preregistration is required.
