Callaway Sues Alleged Imitators: The Carlsbad, Calif.-based golf club maker is charging trademark infringement on its flagship Big Bertha irons. Callaway Golf Co. said the defendants include four Southern California retailers, a Los Angeles wholesaler, a Taiwanese maker of golf club heads and seven individuals. Callaway filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. A judge ordered the defendants, who market clubs under the name Big Bursar, to stop making and selling the clubs while their premises and documents are inspected, Callaway said. Callaway's suit also demands damages.
