Callaway Sues Alleged Imitators: The Carlsbad, Calif.-based golf club maker is charging trademark infringement on its flagship Big Bertha irons. Callaway Golf Co. said the defendants include four Southern California retailers, a Los Angeles wholesaler, a Taiwanese maker of golf club heads and seven individuals. Callaway filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. A judge ordered the defendants, who market clubs under the name Big Bursar, to stop making and selling the clubs while their premises and documents are inspected, Callaway said.
