Nation IN BRIEF : OHIO : Clinton’s Cafeteria Tray Runneth Over
President Clinton’s morning jog gave him an excuse to load up on calories during a lunch stop at a Polish cafeteria. Clinton, in Cleveland for a trade conference, stopped by Sokolowski’s University Inn and loaded up his tray with kielbasa, mash potatoes, potato soup and a big apple dumpling. “Multiple potatoes,” the President confessed before sitting with five cafeteria regulars. “But I ran today.” Restaurateur Bernie Sokolowski added Lake Erie walleye, scrod and homemade horseradish to the President’s plate.
