Still ‘Crazy’ . . .

Fan interest in the late Pasty Cline, arguably the best female country singer ever, is still strong. Her “Greatest Hits” is No. 9 on the Southern California country chart and No. 39 nationally. Madonna’s hot “Take a Bow” single, No. 5 on the Southern California pop chart, is boosting her “Bedtime Stories” up the pop album chart--four more notches to No. 8. Garth Brooks’ “Hits” is still crushing the competition, heading both the Southern California and national country charts--in addition to the national pop chart. So much for the predictions that it would do a fast fade after the Christmas shopping season.
