Home Sales and Prices Fall in Ventura County

Sales of single-family homes in Ventura County were down in November, according to the California Assn. of Realtors. Prices of houses sold by the group’s members also were less than the previous month.
The number of house resales in November was off more than 1% both from the previous month and from a year earlier, the association reports.
The median price for houses sold in the county during November was $204,000, down 4% from the previous month and down 1% from November, 1993.
The median house resale price in Ventura County in November was the second highest in Southern California, trailing Orange County’s $214,000. The highest median price in the state was $247,000, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
