Lotus Announces Deals, Aims for Bigger Market Share: Lotus said it entered a worldwide strategic marketing and development deal with AT&T; to integrate voice, fax, electronic mail and message-based applications. Lotus will also bundle its Notes Express with Apple Computer’s Power Macintosh and PowerBook computers. IBM will ship Lotus Notes Express with the IBM OS/2 Warp operating system, and Lotus will work with Motorola to enhance the wireless capabilities of its computer message platforms. The company also slashed the prices of its Lotus Notes client and server software. Lotus Notes, the industry standard software platform for sharing work tasks over computer networks, will be $275 a copy, down from $330.
