Bergen Brunswig Corp.: In a deal that could provide $600 million in new business, the company said Monday that it has extended for five years its exclusive contract to supply drugs to Pharmacy Corp. of America.

Bergen Brunswig said the agreement with the Longmont, Colo., company is expected to generate more than $1 billion in revenue altogether.

Pharmacy Corp., a unit of nursing home operator Beverly Enterprises Inc., operates 62 pharmacies that supply drugs to nursing home facilities and other health centers.

Bergen Brunswig, based in Orange, is the nation’s largest supplier of pharmaceuticals to nursing homes and hospitals, and a major supplier to drugstores.
