IBM, Toshiba Cut Laptop Prices: The announcements follow similar price cuts by rival computer makers. IBM Corp. said it cut prices from 5% to 24% on four ThinkPad models. Toshiba America said it cut prices 8% to 22% on several of its laptops, including the Satellite and Satellite Pro series. The reductions follow cuts by Dell and Compaq Computer, both of which also unveiled new mid-priced laptops this week.
