PacifiCare Health Systems Inc.: The Cypress managed health care services company posted a profit of $20.1 million, or 71 cents a share, for its first fiscal quarter, which ended Dec. 31.

That compared to earnings of $20.4 million, or 73 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier, which included a gain of $5.7 million from an accounting change.

Revenue gained 27% to $821.6 million from $645.7 million.
