Trimedyne Posts First-Quarter Loss

Trimedyne Inc., an Irvine medical products company, said that it lost $872,000, or 9 cents a share, for its first fiscal quarter. That compared to a loss of $544,000, or 6 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 declined 3%, to $3.1 million from $3.2 million.
