FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Ex-Girlfriend Sought in Attack on Couple
Police are looking for a Stockton woman who allegedly tried to run over her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend, authorities said Friday.
Tri Do, 23, and Anh Phan, 21, were walking home after a shopping spree about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when they were confronted by a woman in a car near Do’s home, according to police. Investigators said the woman, believed to be Do’s former girlfriend, indicated that she wanted a reconciliation. Police said Do refused, saying that he planned to marry Phan, who recently found out she is pregnant.
As Do and Phan walked away, the woman drove toward the couple, striking Phan, Police Lt. Bob Mosley said. The suspect then pursued Do as he ran across a lawn and knocked him to the ground.
“She was dragging him with her vehicle,” Mosley said.
The woman fled the scene and remained at large Friday. Do and Phan were treated by paramedics for cuts and abrasions.
Police are seeking Xuan Nguyen, 23, in connection with the incident. She was described as being 5 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing 110 pounds, with long black hair. She was last seen driving a blue 1977 Toyota Celica, license plate number 3ATB617, near Poinsettia and Daisy avenues, said Mosley.
