Pair Held in Series of Killings, Carjackings

CARLISLE, Pa. — A man and his 17-year-old girlfriend were arrested Friday in a string of slayings that started with the man’s brother and continued with carjackings across central Pennsylvania.
Mark Newton Spotz, 23, was arrested in a motel room near Carlisle, officials said. He is a suspect in the death of his brother and at least two women.
Also arrested was Christine Dianne Noland, 17, of Altoona, Pa.
