Breen on U.S. Team for World Championships

PARK CITY, Utah — Two-time world champion Ellen Breen of West Hills, unbeaten in six World Cup ballet ski competitions this season, will lead the 24-member U.S. team to compete in the World Championships Feb. 14-19 at LaClusaz, France, officials said Saturday.
Breen, 31, gold medalist in ballet in the 1991 and 1993 World Championships as well as the two-time defending World Cup ballet champion, is joined by four other Olympic and world championships medalists.
They are:
* Donna Weinbrecht of Killington, Vt., 1992 Olympic moguls champion, 1991 world champion, 1989 world championship silver medalist, and four-time World Cup champion.
* Kriste Porter of Greenland, N.H., three-time world championships bronze medalist.
* Liz McIntyre of Winter Park, Colo., the 1994 Olympic moguls silver medalist.
* Trace Worthington of Park City, Utah, currently the World Cup leader in aerials and a combined silver medalist in the 1993 World Championships.
The U.S. Freestyle Ski Team has a 760-point lead over second-place Canada as it bids for its 10th straight Nations Cup title.
