City Council meeting

When: Monday, 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall, 5275 Orange Ave.

What: The City Council will consider another extension of the declaration of emergency due to flood damage during the January rainstorms. The council also will vote on a resolution that demands that the county return 100% of the city’s money invested in the bankrupt county pool.

Garden Grove

City Council meeting

When: Tuesday, 7 p.m.

Where: Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.

What: Supervisor Roger R. Stanton will report on Orange County’s financial situation and how the crisis affects cities such as Garden Grove, which did not invest in the bankrupt county fund. City officials are worried that county funds earmarked for city street improvements and other projects might not be available because of the county’s financial difficulties.

What: The City Council will consider passing a resolution demanding full payment of the city’s investment in the failed Orange County pool.

What: The City Council will have a public hearing to consider extending for up to 12 months a moratorium on permits for adult entertainment business uses. The existing moratorium will expire Feb. 15.
