SOUTH COUNTY : A Driving Tuneup for Seniors

Share

A driving program designed to help senior citizens improve their motoring skills and qualify for insurance discounts will be offered throughout South County this month.

Sponsored by the American Assn. of Retired Persons, the two-day clinic is open to people who are at least 50 years old.

Registration costs $8 and must be made in advance.

The course focuses on helping seniors compensate for slowing reflexes and vision problems, along with updating attendees on Department of Motor Vehicles driving regulations.

Upon completion of the eight-hour clinic, seniors are given a certificate that can be sent to auto insurance companies for good-driver discounts.
