FULLERTON — David J. Gustin has been appointed president of Hunt-Wesson Grocery Products Co. He succeeds Albert J. Crosson, who has served as president for a year.
Gustin, 44, has been with Hunt-Wesson for two years, first as president of the Orville Redenbacher-Swiss Miss Foods subsidiary. Last year he was also appointed president of the La Choy-Rosarita Foods unit.
Crosson, 64, has been president and chief operating officer of ConAgra Grocery Products Co. since 1986. He has also held the position of president of Hunt-Wesson Grocery Products for a year. Both ConAgra Grocery Products and Hunt-Wesson Grocery Products are based in Fullerton.
“Crosson just felt it was time to let go of some of those responsibilities,” said Kay Carpenter, spokeswoman for Hunt-Wesson Inc.
Hunt-Wesson Inc., based in Fullerton, was bought by ConAgra Inc. in 1990. Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra’s other food brands include Butterball and Healthy Choice.
