John R. Flores; Retired Aerospace Engineer
John R. Flores, a retired aerospace engineer and longtime Thousand Oaks resident, died Sunday. He was 67.
Daughter Jamie Flores-Doody, who lives in Thousand Oaks, said her father went to work for Northrop Corp. in 1960 and retired 32 years later.
She described him as quite analytical as well as very family oriented. He enjoyed spending time with her infant twin sons, Luc and Nicholas.
Flores is also survived by another daughter, Justine Flores of San Francisco; his sister, Susan Cortez of Flagstaff, Ariz., and his brother, Thomas Flores of Phoenix.
Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary, Thousand Oaks is handling the funeral arrangements.
