CAMARILLO : Water Main Flushing to Begin Monday
The Camrosa Water District will conduct its annual water main flushing program starting Monday in Camarillo, east of Santa Rosa Road.
Water will be flushed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for a week, until Feb. 19, officials said.
Water in the affected area may appear brown shortly after the water is flushed, authorities said. Residents should let faucets run for several minutes until the water is clear before using it.
Although the brown water is not a health hazard, it is recommended that residents avoid doing laundry or drinking the water during the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. flushing period, officials said.
Washing clothes with brown water can lead to brown stains. For hints on how to remove stains, residents can call the district’s office at 388-0226.
