Bruce Jaffe Elected President of Bell Industries

Bruce M. Jaffe, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Bell Industries Inc., has been elected president of the Los Angeles-based company. Jaffee, 51, succeeds Theodore Williams, 74, who continues as chairman and chief executive. Jaffe joined Bell in 1967. Bell Industries manufactures and distributes products for the electronics, computer, graphics and other industrial markets.
* Frank J. Holdraker has joined La Salsa Holding Co. as senior vice president of franchising. Holdraker was president of Franklin & Associates, a management consulting firm based in Dayton, Ohio, before joining the Los Angeles-based company, which operates the La Salsa restaurant chain. He has also served as a chief executive of Ponderosa Inc., a large Midwestern restaurant chain.
* Charles LeDoyen has been promoted to president of Transamerica Life Cos.’ Structured Settlements Division. A 20-year veteran of the insurance industry, LeDoyen, 51, was named senior vice president of the structured settlements business unit in 1991 and executive vice president in 1993. Los Angeles-based Transamerica Life, a provider of settlement annuities, recently announced plans to relocate the Structured Settlements Division to North Carolina this year. The company is also a unit of San Francisco-based Transamerica Corp.
