Police arrested a 20-year-old man and his 17-year-old male companion on suspicion of robbing a pizza deliveryman, police said Sunday.

The two suspects, who were from Cypress but not named by police, were captured shortly after reportedly robbing a Pizza Hut deliveryman of two pizzas, chicken wings and the pizza holder at 6:14 p.m. Saturday near Ball Road and Holder Street, said police Sgt. Ray Peterson.

The unidentified deliveryman said he hit one of the suspects but gave up the food after the other suspect threatened him with what could have been a weapon, Peterson said.

With the aid of a helicopter and a police canine unit, one suspect was found in the rear yard of a home on Bernadette Avenue, and was arrested in Larwin Park, west of Bernadette, Peterson said.

The second suspect was arrested nearby. Both were being held on suspicion of armed robbery, Peterson said.
