Reward Offered in Theft of Antiques
A reward of up to $1,000 has been offered for information that helps identify the thieves who stole more than $50,000 in antiques from a storage locker in Thousand Oaks.
Between Jan. 19 and 24, someone cut the lock on a storage room at Westlake Self-Storage at 2550 Willow Lane, according to Ventura County Crime Stoppers. The thief replaced the padlock after removing the antiques.
Among the missing items are a seven-foot barber pole, an 1880s stamp collection, tin and paper photographs from the early 1900s, pottery and mugs, a Gilfillan battery radio and a Lindenberg game.
Anyone with information about the theft or the location of any of the antiques should contact Crime Stoppers at 494-TALK. Callers may remain anonymous and will be assigned a number as their only identification.
If the information leads to an arrest and criminal charges are filed, the caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
