Fernando Award Winner to Be Feted
This year’s recipient of the Fernando Award, given annually to a San Fernando Valley resident for outstanding community service, will be honored at a dinner tonight at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City.
Clyde Porter, 68, a Woodland Hills businessman, is the recipient of the award presented by a committee composed of representatives of Valley chambers of commerce and other community organizations.
Porter is president of P.L. Porter Co., which manufactures reclining seats for airlines and automobiles.
