Proceeds of the sale of a CD by Saddleback College music professor Nakyong Tjong Chai will go to fund music scholarships and to pay for equipment for music classrooms and labs at the Mission Viego community college. Chai, who paid for the CD production, plays Beethoven’s “Moonlight” Sonata, Mozart’s Adagio in B minor, K. 540, and is the soloist in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 27 with the Saddleback Chamber Players led by Kay Pech-Anshutz. The disc is $12 and is available only through the Fine Arts Division of the college. (714) 582-4747.

Santa Ana-based Stop-Gap theater troupe, which presents educational plays that deal with such social ills as drug abuse and racism, has received a $9,000 general-support grant from California Casualty Group in Northern California.
