General Automation Inc.: The Irvine computer company lost $461,000, or 5 cents a share, for the first quarter of its fiscal 1995. That contrasts with a profit of $109,000, or 1 cent a share, for the year-earlier period, which included a gain of $300,000 resulting from a decrease in estimated federal income tax liability. Sales for the quarter ended Dec. 31 fell to $3.2 million from $8.2 million. The company said last year’s first-quarter results included revenue from a majority interest in SGA Pacific Ltd., which was sold last October.
