A Ventura County Sheriff’s Department task force arrested 120 people during a four-week felony warrant sweep, officials reported Wednesday.
Most of those arrested during the sweep that began Jan. 17 had warrants issued for their arrest after failing to make court appearances on felony charges. In all, 244 warrants were cleared. Eight people also were arrested on drug charges, and four people were charged with harboring a felon.
The task force of 10 deputies originally was scheduled to work only two weeks. But given the success and the large number of warrants, the sweep was extended two weeks, officials said.
