Nasdaq Removes Security Environmental Systems From Trading

Share

Security Environmental Systems Inc. said Thursday that the Nasdaq market system has removed its stock from trading and that the company plans to appeal the delisting by the computer-based exchange.

The company was delisted because it had failed to file its annual report for its most recent fiscal year, which ended June 30, and its reports for subsequent quarters, Nasdaq spokesman Jim Spellman said.

The Huntington Beach hazardous waste disposal company also has not yet filed its audited annual report or its first two quarterly reports for its current fiscal year with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It said it hopes to file its reports by the end of March.

The company’s president, Ellen Batzel, has said key information to complete the audit has been difficult to locate or is missing.

Security Environmental said previously that it expects to report sizable losses for the year and the first two quarters.
