Chevron Facing New Bias Suit: Four former Chevron Corp. accountants filed an age discrimination suit against the oil company just days after it settled a sexual harassment case. The lawsuit filed Thursday in San Francisco Superior Court alleges that Chevron unfairly favored less-experienced, younger employees during a corporate streamlining. The plaintiffs, two men and two women ranging in age from 45 to 56, were working in Chevron’s finance group in Concord when they were dismissed. “The manner in which Chevron and its subsidiary corporations planned and implemented this reorganization and reduction in force was deliberately intended to, and did, result in the unlawful termination of older, long-term employees,” the suit says.
