Hemispheric Heavyweights Hold Forth: The Hemispheric Policy Forum, featuring an array of North and South American political and economic experts, will be held today and tomorrow at the Institute of the Americas on the UC--San Diego campus. Discussion will cover a wide range of trade and policy issues affecting the Western Hemisphere, from Mexico’s currency crisis to trade integration. Speakers include Cesar Gaviria, secretary general of the Organization of American States; Michael Skol, U.S deputy asst. secretary of state for Inter-American Affairs, and Juan Gabriel Valdez, Chile’s chief negotiator for the North American Free Trade Agreement
