An alleged gang member accused of firebombing a Hawthorne apartment, killing a toddler and burning his mother and newborn sister pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and arson on Monday.

Dwayne Moore, 23, was ordered to return to Inglewood Municipal Court on March 20, when a preliminary hearing will be scheduled. He is being held without bail and could receive the death penalty or life in prison without parole if convicted on the special circumstance allegation of murder by arson.

Two-year-old Robert Davis died Jan. 29 after a Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of his mother's first-floor apartment in the 4900 block of West 116th Street.

The boy's mother, Valerie Rivers, 20, and her 2-day-old daughter suffered serious burns.
