Looking Out for Baby
Tracy Lynn Harris and her boyfriend, Marty, are courageous and unselfish young people to make a permanent adoption plan for their unborn baby (“Look How Much They Love Her,” Feb. 22).
As a parent of both adopted and non-adopted children, and as a psychologist who has encountered many kinds of families, I know that parents and their children do not need to share the same gene pool in order to form warm, loving, and lasting relationships. What’s important is not that parents look like their children but rather that they look out for them.
