California Firm Signs $160-Million Deal: FloWind Corp. of San Rafael has signed three joint-venture agreements to build wind-energy power plants in China. The projects, designed to produce 180 megawatts of electricity, are to be built in Inner Mongolia, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces. The deals were signed Feb. 24 during a trade mission led by U.S. Secretary of Energy Hazel O’Leary.
