EARNINGS : Clothestime Reports Annual Loss; CoCensys Also Ends Year in the Red

Clothestime Inc., the Anaheim women’s apparel retailer, reported a net loss of $11.2 million, or 79 cents a share, for the fiscal year ended Jan. 28, contrasted with a profit of $8.2 million, or 56 cents a share, for the prior year. Sales declined 2% to $340.8 million from $347.6 million. The company posted a fourth-quarter loss of $8.5 million, or 60 cents a share, in contrast to profit of $2.1 million, or 14 cents a share, for the fourth quarter of fiscal 1993. Sales dropped 12% to $83.4 million from $95.1 million.
