Robert L. Quist, former president and chief executive of Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, has been named senior vice president of consulting services at Managed Care Information Systems Inc., a Calabasas-based provider of hospital executive management systems.

He is a founding director and vice chairman of Los Robles Bank in Thousand Oaks and is 1994-95 chairman of the Conejo Valley United Way Campaign.

* Kieran O’Carroll has been named manager of the Camarillo terminal of G.I. Trucking Co. He formerly managed the firm’s terminal in Santa Maria.

* The National Assn. of Dental Plans has named William J. Spellman, a Camarillo dentist, to the board of directors of the group’s Council on Managed Care Dentistry.

Spellman is vice president and dental director of Golden West Dental & Vision, based in Camarillo. He is involved in a movement to provide dental care for the homeless.

* Tom Puentes, vice president and assistant branch manager of Smith Barney Shearson Inc. in Oxnard, has been named to the Chairman’s Council, which recognizes the top 10% of the firm’s brokers nationwide.

* New officers of the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Assn. are Michael Morrow, president; William Corbett, vice president and president-elect, and Barbara Landan, secretary-treasurer.

New directors are Robert Bayer, Mark Borrell, Diana Hancock, Mark Hancock, Jeffrey Herman, Edward Lacey, Georgianna Regnier and Michael Van Sickle.

* Judy Calvin has been named director of public relations at Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. in Camarillo. She formerly managed the firm’s customer service department.

* Crystal D. Baker has been named assistant vice president of commercial lending at First National Bank of Ventura. She formerly worked in the commercial lending department at Bank of A. Levy.
